Our mission at WOWEE is to connect kids of all ages to the world of nature. Their exciting personal experience with our animal ambassadors will instill a sense of wonder, affection and respect towards all the inhabitants of our planet, regardless of species. This, in turn, will encourage people to take greater responsibility for the earth as home to us all.
WOWEE is a non-profit, all volunteer educational organization. We offer outreach programs for children in a six county area and have been doing so for over thirty years. We go to schools or other organizations with 10 to 15 live animals such as, Julius Squeezer, a 7 foot albino Burmese Python; Sunkist, a Moluccan Cockatoo; and Suwabu, a Serval Cat native to Africa. We introduce the bigger animals by name and tell some of their personal histories, then speak of species, habitat, behaviors and threats to that species in its native setting. We stress kindness, responsibility and the importance of making good choices. Children are encouraged to ask questions throughout.
We currently care for over 200 animals. We are expanding our programs to appeal to a wider range and number of audiences. Our personnel needs are rapidly increasing and cannot be met by volunteers alone. Marketing and advertising are critical to our operation. All of these things are costly. We need cash donations and we need specific items for the animals and for the programs.
Additionally, WOWEE engages in exotic animal rescue. We also participate in the propagation and preservation of endangered species. We presently breed three different endangered species on our farm. Many of our program animals are rescues and/or endangered species.

3) WOWEE promotes love and respect for the natural world: We teach the interaction and interdependence of all the elements and citizens on earth. We teach the importance of our environment and keeping it clean and viable.
4) WOWEE is multi cultural and multi experiential. We offer programs built on legends and stories from around the world. The stories add arts and literature as well as cultural perspective to programs that are already entertaining and educational.
5) WOWEE breeds and protects endangered species and we rescue abused exotic pets. These are ideas that represent both kindness and environmental awareness to the public.
6) WOWEE is a woman's enterprise, founded, developed and primarily operated by women, most over 50 years of age and some disabled. We are living proof that usefulness and meaning do not stop with age or physical challenges.
In summation, we offer a unique experience to children of all ages. While we are wowing them with creatures they didn?t even know exist, we are also slipping in lessons on many diverse subjects. We are highly visible and almost everyone likes to take at least a quick look at our exotic friends. If your name is associated with ours, it will garner a great deal of attention and positive interpretation. When you support WOWEE, you are contributing to a valuable community resource.
