We
are a non-political organization that focuses on education
rather than legislation. We believe that teaching a child what
an animal is, how and where it lives, and anything else we can
explain about it will ultimately benefit a species' existence in
our world more than any law that was ever enacted to save
it. If a person understands what something is, they tend
to appreciate it more as an interesting, essential, and valuable
part of our world.
W.O.W.E.E.
is all about:
EDUCATION
- we conduct school assemblies and outreach programs to teach
people about the wonderful world of exotic animals. In doing so,
we hope to foster a greater appreciation, understanding, and
respect for our animal ambassadors. Our programs carry no
religious or evolutionary messages, making them ideal for any
type of school or organization.
REHABILITATION
- we take in injured, orphaned, or abandoned animals and work
closely with our local veterinarians to 'repair' them so they
may be released back to their native habitat. We also place
unwanted animals in new, caring homes.
PROPAGATION
- we have a captive breeding program of several rare,
threatened, and endangered species. We also have one of the few
successful breeding colonies of binturongs in the United States.
We have placed our babies with other organizations similar to
ours all over the U.S. so others may learn about this incredible
species.

"In
the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only
what we understand, and we will understand only what we are
taught".
